It is well documented that Sport England and Pow-Wow Sportz have been unhappy
with the sudden inclusion of resolution 1 on the EKGB EGM papers and setting
this aside the most important thing is that a new unified governing body is
introduced in order to govern effectively in a modernized and corporate manner.
This new body should also provide an innovative and professional service across
every spectrum of Karate in England.
With this in mind a general meeting has been called for 06 November 2005 where
any interested parties may attend, register and begin recovering the benefits of
the new body immediately. This new company will be completely transparent and
will openly consult with all its members on a regular and informative manner.
One of the first pieces of business will be to elect a new Board of Directors
which will ensure that the whole enterprise is managed on task, at pace and
against the specific aims and objectives which will shape the new governing
body.
Everyone wants to take the opportunity to allow the members to have ownership
over their decisions and the new body will encourage this and provide members
with an opportunity to be play an active part in the way in which the governing
body meets their needs and demands.
Pow-Wow Sportz Ltd, has had to take the stance that all parties are afforded
with the opportunity to attend and be part of the unification process on 6th
November in order to comply with the convening notification procedure.
What next:
Within this section of the website you will be able to read the Convening Notice
for the General Meeting and select the 11 candidates which you would like to
vote for after reading through the CV's which have been published. Each
Association must then locate their name on the Association Voting List and fill
in their equated votes (total number of registered members in 2004 divided by
250) on the formal voting form which must then be returned to the offices of Pow
Wow Sportz Ltd at the above address. This form may be returned either by email
or postal delivery and must reach us no later than 5:00 p.m. on 31 October 2005.
Please note that this facility allows Pow Wow Sportz to be organized and begin
the arduous task of collating all of the voting forms but that any Association
who has voted by post MUST also be represented at the meeting on 06 November
2005. A formal voting facility will also be provided on the day for those
Associations who formally wish to record their vote on the day.
All membership totals are recognized as the final documented figures for each
Association and have been ratified by the Whole Sport Plan Implementation Board
as being wholly accurate. For the avoidance of doubt the following procedures
have being followed at all times:
For the avoidance of doubt the 2004 membership audit of each Association
(January 01-December 31 2004) will establish the precise voting rights for each
Association. Any Association who fails to prove their exact membership in one of
the following ways will be excluded from any voting procedure:
1. Written letter and supporting documentation to be provided by a chartered or
certified accountant which evidences the particular membership in question.
2. Insurance documentation which outlines members of associations providing an
additional letter evidences that this number is finite and not one for insurance
purposes only or block insurance schemes.
3. The registration returns /forms providing they are appropriately signed and
dated
4. A recognized database print out which summarizes the total number of members
within the organization between the fixed dates outlined above.
Thank you for your assistance in these matters and I look forward to meeting you
on 06 November 2005.
